With this owner/GM though, why expect anything besides more of the same? It's like the Ravens game. 32 offensive snaps in the first half, the o-line destroyed 32 times. Can't win at LOS. 2d half followed same pattern.

Whoever is in charge of this team (???) has proven to be unable to win at the LOS. Seems like this 'owner/boss' is exactly like what we see on the field: listless and going through the motions. Willing to abide whatevs.

Let's hope it gets sorted out soon.

    I see it like this....

    1. Firing the HC now signals to the team that this season is over. We do not have hope. The players might coast from here on out. We are not out of the playoffs at all so it would not be smart imo.

    2. Aside from OC, I do not see us improving the team with having an interim coach. They may not be as bad, but likely not better, if they are it will probably be minimally. So from a business stand point, you are already paying a guy to do a job, why pay another guy (because you will have to, or pay raise from old job to new) to do the same crap job?
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

What do you mean why pay another guy? The interim HC doesn’t magically get a new salary once he becomes interim HC and your going to pay whatever was guaranteed to Fangio either way when he’s fired now or later.

Also firing Fangio does not signal to the players that the season is over with ten games to be played.

Apparently on a radio show today Mike Klis stated that on the Broncos org chart Paton and Fangio are on the same level, with Elway and Ellis above them. So the coaching decision would be made by Elway and Ellis, not Paton. If true, and if Paton doesn’t move up in power after the season, we are fooked.

Just further proof of my theory that the incompetence in this organization goes so high up it would ultimately be pointless to fire Fangio midseason. As long as we have this strange Ellis/Elway/Paton power vacuum at the top, nothing is going to get better, short of tripping our way into Rodgers or something.
