To use a better example to make this point more clear: I'm not sure if you have kids, but let's say for the purpose of this you do. Let's say some creep is hiding in your bushes and takes peepshots of your kids through their window changing clothes. Then say he emails said pictures to his buddy. Now let's say years later his buddy is being investigated for tax fraud, and the cops seize his emails. In the process of seizing his emails, they find the pictures his buddy sent him.

Using your logic, since those pictures were found in the process of investigating a completely unrelated crime, then he shouldn't get in trouble for it. This is essentially the argument you're making. Hopefully you see how dumb that argument is now.

I love how we've made the term accountability synonymous with cancel culture.

I think it's pretty safe to assume he lost the trust of the locker room. "Locker Room Talk" is different talk now than it was 20 years ago. He has an openly gay player on his team. He made racially insensitive remarks. I would assume those players feel like they can't trust him after that stuff came out. Forget "cancel culture", when you've lost the trust of your locker room, you shouldn't be leading them.

Clay Travis. Good lord. That guy is the biggest joke in sports media. Watson hasn't played a snap in the NFL since his allegations came out. Rappers don't work for the NFL.

Plus, the NFL didn't fire gruden. Mark Davis did. Him firing gruden has nothing to do with the Texans keeping Watson or the NFL having a rapper perform at a game.

Clay Travis is a pathetic, race-baiting troll.

Yeah, that was a dumb article. I’m not surprised though. Clay Travis. Fox News. It’s all about the money. They don’t care about the damage they’re doing.

How does any coach keep his locker room after finding stuff like this?

He was still working for an NFL partner in ESPN and was actively looking to get back into the NFL.

I have a friend who works for Google. If I emailed a bunch of racist shit to his work email and shit talked the Google CEO then got hired by Google in 3 years and those emails came out, I'd still expect to face consequences.
