    Default Jaylon Smith available

Jaylon Smith was released by the Cowboys yesterday, and is available. Was considered a top 5 overall pick, but slid because he had to sit out year 1 due to injury. Once healthy, went to the Pro Bowl. He’s got speed as well.

    Think we pick him up?

No, I doubt it. But it would be interesting if we did. Gilmore would have been a cool pickup as well. Carolina gave up a 6th for him, and they’ll possibly get a 5th back if/when he leaves in free agency after the season. Almost a no-brainer.

I'm not necessarily saying we shouldn't give him a look, we have the cap space and are thin at LB, but I wonder how often a player who gets cut in the middle of the season goes to a new team that year and just kills it. I'd imagine that's a pretty low rate. Gilmore is a different scenario because his was due to a contract dispute. I think Smith was just cut due to performance.

He's reportedly declining physically and couldn't crack the starting lineup. That's in spite of him being a locker room leader.

I'm not going to say his career is done. But it's hard to envision him having the role he once did.

Dude had drop foot, which could be permanent, maybe he never fully recovered.

Valid question but how do you define “real far“? Is that by NFL standards or by your standards where Teddy Bridgewater is worth getting super ******* butt hurt over?

I'm actually quite content with Teddy. You seem to be the one who can't contain your butthurt over him!

    Be more dramatic!

I’ve been the same since they traded for him, it wasn’t until you got “quite content” with him that my posts got you whining like a lil’ bitch.
