Thread: Is Tim Patrick a #1 or a #2 receiver?

  1. #1

Default Is Tim Patrick a #1 or a #2 receiver?

He’s a consistently good wide receiver but he’s playing behind Sutton and Jeudy.
It makes me wonder if he would want to stay with the team next year, knowing he could be a number one, at best or two at worst on another team.

    I think a 2. Hes a poor man's rod Smith.
I'm King Kong. I'm blood of the city.

    Broncos on IR:
    Chubb -starting rush LB
    Darby -starting CB
    Jerry Jeudy- starting WR
    KJ Hamler -WR 3
    Jewell -starting ILB
    Boone- Rb 3
    Ojemudia- CB6
    Injury Bug kindly F*&% off!

    He’s clutch, though
You think he’ll stay with the team next year?
He’s probably going to see some balls thrown at him now that Jeudy is out

Yea, a number one on a weak team, but probably a number two on all but stacked teams. I wouldn't put him in the elite category, but he might be in the next tier --- depending on how big your tiers are. 2nd/3rd tier receiver.

We know what he can do, and this year could be very good for him...

Yep. Whatever he's ranked at, I like having him on the team.

I think it will be like Shaq Barrett. He is not going to start here. He wants to start! He will sign with a team like the pats or falcons or bills imo.

solid, productive #2-- he's better than KJ hamler, that's for damn sure. . . and yes, we're probably going to lose him because denver won't pay him #2 money-- not with fant and sutton's contracts coming up, and guys like jeudy and hamler still on their rookie deals. . . it's tough, but the salary cap be like that. . . at least denver has shown a bit of an eye for WR talent lately. . . hopefully they can develop someone like tyrie cleveland or seth williams into the next tim patrick. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Thank you. That’s the point I wanted to bring up. It’s up to him if he wants to stay, but he also knows he can be in a better position with another team if he so desires...

He needs to go get paid and go start somewhere. Just like Shaq Barrett. Its not ideal for us, but for him that is 100% the right move without a shred of doubt!

Pretty much this. He's a solid 2 that someone will overpay as a 1. I don't think he'll quite have a Shaq like explosion, but he's taken advantage of a lot of WR injuries here and is making himself a lot of money.

    No.

I think he’d struggle as a full time No. 2. I think he’s a good No. 3. We’ve never seen how he would handle the full load of a bracketed defense. He has had the luxury of Jeudy and Sutton taking all of the double coverage when he’s had to fill in for injuries.

*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

This is what I feel, but I could see him be a pretty good 2 if his Other half was a legit 1. Its like when Sanu had Julio. Then when Sanu was the guy yikes......
