too bad about chubb. . . would be great if he could come back healthy and give the defense a boost down the stretch, but at this point it feels like we're destined not to ever have miller and chubb healthy at the same time. . . and if that's some kind of karmic retribution for having miller and ware, i can live with that. . . i do have to wonder if the traning staff was aware that he had bone spurs in both ankles. . . if they did know, why not get them both repaired over the off-season? if they didn't, why didn't they? enh, whatever-- it's pro football, shit happens with injuries. . . sucks to see multiple important pieces going on IR this early in the season, though-- i really hope a rash of injuries doesn't derail what has initially looked like a promising season, but i'm not gonna hold my breath after how it went last year. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

    Good thing we have Reed.
I hope maybe Chubb can be back for the final few games of the season. Jewell is a run stopper, but he's outmatched in coverage by TEs. So we may loose a little on run support but gain some on coverage. If one starter had to be lost, Might as well be Jewell. Hope he heals up well. He's a good guy. But Strnad may be ready by Baltimore.

I hate losing guys to IR at all, but before Oct just plain sucks.

I’d like to see Cooper get some shots in pass rush situations. Dude was unblockable in the preseason. Reed has been very underwhelming the first 2 games.

The bottom line here is, we never ever ever should’ve cut Justin Hollins. This has been this team’s biggest defensive mistake of the Fangio era. First they converted him to MLB, then cut him to keep a guy like Watson (who is no longer on the team). Terrible. He’s playing lights out for the Rams.

that made no sense. . . i feel like this team has had a bit of a history of giving up on their talented mid- and later-round picks too soon. . .

Somebody needs to add up how many games the Broncos should have had Von and Chubb on the field together but couldn't because one or the other was hurt/sick. It must be approaching 40 by now.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
