Thread: Fangio needs to put a end to this musical chairs with Surtain.

This whole playing Surtain at middle linebacker and all these other wild roles needs to cease immediately!

Just because he has the brain and can likely do these things It makes no sense to play musical chairs with Surtain who is a true shit down corner. Fangio obviously loves to lean towards veterans and the rest of them guys is cool but we’re really limiting what Surtain brings to the table as CB1. We’re not going to get the turnovers he can provide us either if he’s playing middle linebacker.

I really hate to see an elite talent be wasted this year. It just rubs me the wrong way ever since I seen the broncos do that shit with DJ Williams who hit the scene elite as a weak side backer and then here came the experiments at other spots and he was as never the same again it was like he was being wasted as a strong side, then they moved him to middle linebacker.

I just feel like Surtain is CB1 and brings a lot more to the table and this whole play everywhere including MLB is not a good idea.

Broncos played with mainly 3 corners and 2 safety’s for almost the entire game. We didn’t play a lot of dime today at all.

He never played MLB. Someone else made this mistake too. Surtain was the CB in a trail on shepard. AJ was the MLB, he did not get the depth. Surtain got beat in the chase, AJ did not get the depth and both missed on Shepard who then took the ball for the TD.

Aj was the MLB. SUrtain never was MLB.

Surtain was definitely lined up in a MLB position behind the DL.

What play are you referring to?


Also, Fangio said in the post game PC that they wanted to get Surtain involved more at outside CB after the half, but the game just didn’t dictate it.
