Thread: Texans Trading CB Bradley Roby To Saints

Former Broncos 1st-rounder Bradley Roby is close to being traded to the Saints from the Houston Texans although no trade details have been announced. The Texans bought out part of Roby's salary and converted it to a bonus so the $1.8 million left over can fit into the tight New Orleans salary cap.

Rumors claim that Roby asked to be traded since the veteran did not want to go through the suckathon that is likely to happen this year and some speculate Roby didn't have the "right attitude" to be teaching young players which will dominate Houston's roster this season.

Glad he got out before the ship sank.

If the Texans are going to have a fire sale where they're unloading anyone with any tallent in exchange for draft picks, is anyone still on their roster (not currently under criminal investigation) that you'd be interested in giving up a draft pick or 2?

They lost Jackrabbit Jenkins, so he’ll create some depth, but this is Houston mostly paying him to go away. He’s suspended until late October.

He was always overrated.

Roby only had a one-game suspension.

I had to research but, apparently, the Saints are giving up a 3rd in 2022 and a 6th in 2023 to acquire Mr. Roby's services. Too high if you ask me.

Roby when he had his chance to be the guy showed he didn't have it. He looked great when he only had to cover the 3rd best WR's on the other team. But that was his ceiling.

Nah we are legit loaded at corner. We still got OJ and Vincent behind fuller Surtain Darby and Callahan.
