    Default Horror Movies

In this thread I'm going to leave reviews for Horror Movies. The encroaching Halloween holiday informs this decision as well.

I just started watching the original Nightmare on Elm Street film. Goodness gracious the special effects have held up thus far. I'll leave a detailed review at the end of the film.

A Nightmare on Elm Street -
I loved it. A lot. I google'd the ending and it seems it was controversial at the time as many fans felt it betrayed the 'rules of the movie' so to speak.

My interpretation to make it 'make sense': the entire last third/whole movie' was one dream. If so, then the 'I take back what I gave you' stuff makes sense because she walks out the door with her mom, everything is bright and sunny, and then boom she and her friends get pwned. Thus meaning that the whole 'dream skills' thing was a bunch of malarkey, or she wasn't strong enough to use those skills to win.

I lol'd at the fact her mom just confesses to murder and the blatant evidence against her in the stupid cellar.

Regardless, I don't think the ending was as 'bad' as some say.

Haven't watched these in ages. Do more do more!
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Last night, I watched 1986's Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

8/10 An underrated masterpiece. Completely delivers a wild ride.

Watch the original, not the remastered….I’ve watched both and the cleaner version lost something for me…it was still messed up, but not such a classic anymore.

I own the extended director's cut. Is that bad? Thanks for your advice.

Fun fact, my parent's first date with one another was...going to the movies and watching this film.

My mom told me she didn't sleep for a week after seeing The Exorcist.

The Exorcism: One of my all-time favorite movies. The movie that brought me back to the horror genre.

I would have to say it's still a ten out of ten. You get a slow burn on multiple stories that coalesce perfectly. Real world issues blend perfectly with the hellish realities from below. Incredible special effects that still hold up. Probably the best child acting in any film I've ever seen.

There are so many small details that make the movie great. The attic, the ouija board, the built in explanation of science's regard to exorcisms. If this was 'real' it could very well have unfolded like this. "A vulgar display of power," is one of my favorite movie lines ever.

My review is all over the place because I just get too damn excited when I talk about this movie.
