Yeah, I don't see a huge difference either way QB-wise. I'd say 9-10 wins either way. Most of my preference for Lock was that he was younger and still actually (bonus!) under contract next year.

Based on Sunday's performance, this seems like it could be a 10+ win team under normal circumstances.

But looking at our schedule, I'm not sure.

We've got to go 3-3 or better in our division. If we can't hit 50% in our division, we aren't beating a lot of teams on our schedule.

I see likely wins against Jax, Jets, Bengals, Lions, WFT,

That gets us to 9-3 if we go 3-3 in division.

Then we have Steelers, Ravens, Browns, Cowboys, Eagles. All five of those teams looked pretty damn good this weekend. If we're good enough to go 3-3 in our division, then we're good enough to win our share of those games.

Week 4 & 5 will tell us a lot about this team and our prospects. I don't think we can extrapolate much out of week one though.

Depends, the schedule gets way harder starting week 4 so we’ll see how teddy and the offense is doing around then. Weeks 4-8 will be telling!

Cannot sleep on Washington either they have the type of front 4 that can totally ruin a game for anybody any given Sunday:

I fear for the safety of some posters if TBW gets that extension.

    I'm still rolling 13-4
I had it like that before I knew TBW would be starter or that he could have the highest QBR in week one.
But week one just reinforces my thoughts on the rest of the team and therefore changes nothing.
We going to be in the hunt for real this year.

If he keeps playing like he did last Sunday I'd be cool with it. I need to see something in the neighborhood of last Sunday as his average game for a full season though, not just one good game. I realize there will be ups and downs, but like I said if last Sunday could be somewhere close to an average for him I'd say we're in damn good shape.

I'm probably overly optimistic based solely on that one game but **** it, I'm old and like to be optimistic sometimes. I enjoyed watching him play last week and hope that continues.

The only way you extend teddy for another year is if he wins the Super Bowl man, the broncos absolutely cannot get stuck in this cycle of not having having a franchise quarterback.

I’d give him one year extension and him and Drew would have to battle again. Or you do the right thing and draft Rattler and let him sit behind teddy for one year.

Dude. He said the same thing as you almost.
    Reading comprehension requires reading it.

You both think extending Teddy is ridiculous.
Shesh... Even argumentative when someone agrees with them...

Meh, people were ready to give Trev a big contact after two games.

I like to refer to those people as idiots.
