I don’t think that’s the right thing to do anymore, Lock still has a year left on his contract so he’ll survive Fangio and Shurmer and will most likely beat out any rookie we draft next year. So lock still has a shot at being the starter for us under a new staff. It’s not over for Lock in Denver and foreal I’d love to see Drew finish the year and play well.
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

I still think Paton wants Bridgewater back next year. I think he's fulfills that two year deal for him. Will he be the starter? Who know, but I think he comes back.
BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE
Perhaps I’m misunderstanding you here, but TB is on a one year deal.
Teddy Bridgewater signed a 1 year, $4,437,000 contract with the Denver Broncos, including $4,250,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $4,437,000. In 2021, Bridgewater will earn a base salary of $4,250,000 and a roster bonus of $165,000, while carrying a cap hit of $4,415,000 and a dead cap value of $4,250,000.
Yikes, that is horrible. However, our QB's do tend to hold onto the ball a very long time as well. When you watch Manning or any other legit QB they dont waste time holding onto the ball forever. They are decisive, accurate, and quick with their reads.

According to this, Teddy's one of the tops in the league in taking time to throw.
