Thread: The Broncos SUCK!

The Broncos officially suck now. The combined record the last 5 seasons (2016-2020) is 32-48. That's a .400 win PCT. You have lost 11 straight to KC, in mostly blowout fashion. No playoffs since 2015 SB. The shine is off that now.

Impatience and lack of vision or plan has led to the only thing being consistent is Denver's consistant appearance in the upper half of the frist round of drafts....which has done nothing to cure the problem.

Perhaps the greatest QB to ever play the game, can't figure out how to draft a QB. And that has been compounded by Elways penchant for giving bad coaching staffs an ultimatum season...this has cost them chances to outright draft Josh Allen, Justin Fields and Mac Jones, it has cost them the potential to trade up for Trey Lance.

Denver has spent in FA and in drafts at RB, with hardly anything to show for it.....and then let hometown UDFA RB Lindsay walk in FA....the one guy that could bust a long run.

The O line is sub par outside of Garrett Bowles at LT. The interior is a hodgepodge of failed draft picks and overpay FA's that suck.

The "Top 5" D only exists in Broncos fans heads...it hasn't been top 10, let alone top 5 since 2015. The LB can't cover backs or TE...Von Miller is dropped into coverage, the D backs might be good, but so many 1 year deals.....

Jerry Juedy might be a great WR but his hallmark of getting separation is wasted with the QB's Denver has who can't throw an anticipation route.

Current staff is just winging it....they wanted a VET game manager QB....and when their hand picked option, Flacco didn't work....ended up with the most bizarre situation in football where you have OLD Defensive guru 1st time HC, taking a fringe 2nd round QB and trying to win and develop that kid.....freaking PERFECT.

....Let this post be a reminder that at this point in time in the history of the world, Broncos fans were literally debating about which QB would win a Drew Lock, VS Teddy Bridgewater QB battle.

If that isn't the essence of suck, I don't know what is.

LOL.....yes you are right about BOTH. Denver plays @ KC in Week 18. KC will have the 1 seed locked up by then and will rest all the starters. Denver will need that win to secure the final wild card...

Actually, I'd say the following excerpt from the OP is the majority view of most Bronco fans who post here. I'm not saying that I agree with everything in the excerpt, but that most members have made numerous posts expressing pretty much the same views, especially when it comes to assessing Elway's job performance as GM.

Look at the last sentence. Says we got rid of the only guy who can bust a long run. Hello. Melvin Gordon’s longest run was 65 yards vs the chiefs. Or are only runs of 66+ yards considered long

Elway has tried to address the QB position both in FA and draft. He’s used a first round pick on a guy that was a bust. And a 2nd round pick on Lock who the jury is still out. The only move I hated was Keenum. I knew that was a waste. Keenum has always been trash. Just bad luck.

But right now we have one of the most talented teams in football. And a lot of it has to do with elway. His most recent drafts have been great. And our ability to have max cap space is huge for this teams future.

I don't know if the majority view over at OM was completely different then here, but these are the views that the majority have been posting since Manning retired. Again, I'm not saying that I agree with all of them; but that the majority of them members that have been posting here since long before the demise of your site do.
