Thread: The Chiefs don't suck

I was recently informed that postive Chiefs statements and news, don't belong on the Chiefs Suck thread, so I guess this is a more appropriate place to keep you all appraised of how the Chiefs are continuing and exceeding at not sucking.

...And since this is the first post in the thread I'll just get this out of the way first....

KC's quarterback is Patrick Mahomes. That doesn't suck.

Alright....8/6/2021...

Reports continue out of camp that Willie Gay is rapidly becoming who they thought there were drafting when they took him last year.....making plays, good coverage, and speed to burn.

Nick Bolton....2nd round LB out of MIZZOU this year.....making plays all over. Don't be surprised if Bolton supplants Hitchens at some point soon....he's much faster and has a had a knack for playmaking through college and it's showing up at camp. KC could go from having horrible LB, to a very good pair of them.

Tershawn Wharton said to be looking good at DL. He's one of the reasons why Chris Jones can move to DE.

the rookie O linemen ....Humphey and Smith.....reporters running out of words to say about these guys....especially Smith....I'll keep telling you.....STEAL of the draft. .....should be fun to watch how Denver has invested 2 picks at Center, over the past 2 years, and a high 2nd for Risner....KC is going to come out better with a late 2nd at C, and a 6th at OG.

I have a soft spot for KC because of Mahomes -he's so good and so handsome- and Reid (one of the best coaches ever) but...they still kinda dookie.

If you want to debate about the character of players on rosters.....thats fine. A lot of fans like to have that argument. I'll pass. I have long ago accepted that many football players aren't good people. Fine. I wish they all were pillars of the community and great role models. They aren't. If the legal system has deemed them fit to be out and about among the rest of us unwashed masses, and they are employed by my team, the one I root for to win on Sunday, then fine. I am rooting for them to make plays and stop the other teams dudes from making plays.

If he's street legal and can help my team...then sign him up. I don't care.

This is true. When it comes to elite high-end passing Brady has some great stats, but falls short of other QB's. Much of his case comes down to winning. Which is a flawed measurement given the context of his early rings. It also took him quite some time to become a great passer. That was asked of him deeper into his career. Sprinkle in the cheating by him and the NEP and his entire career should be suspect. But there's no money in that for the NFL or ESPN.

But fans and analysts do ring counts and claim that's the best way to decide the GOAT in the ultimate team game.

Boggles my mind.
