Interesting stuff from Aikman. *Teams and coordinators sometimes overcomplicate things while ignoring the simple. *Aikman had similar criticism of the Eagles during their loss to Tampa on Sunday. *DeVonta Smith got soft, single coverage a lot and they didn’t take advantage of it. *Not a particularly good look for Kellen Moore.

The #Dolphins will interview #49ers OC Mike McDaniel for their HC job today. #Cowboys coordinators Dan Quinn and Kellen Moore are tomorrow. And #AZCardinals DC Vance Joseph has his interview on Friday, sources say.

Watching the implosion of a multi-billion dollar franchise in real time. Josh McCown has NO college or NFL coaching experience. ZERO. He’s an Assistant HS coach. Yes, really.

I will say this, Josh McCown has been tabbed as a future HC in the NFL since like his 5th year as a player.

he certainly has traits that would translate well. . . still, it's basically unheard of to hire a guy with zero coaching experience as an NFL HC. . . i have no idea whether this has any validity, but i read earlier somewhere that mccown is an evangelical christian, and that's why easterby wants him. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Texans are such a garbage organization. It's hilarious how quickly they've fallen from making miraculous playoff comebacks, losing close games to Mahomie, and now bottom dwelling.

In other news, McCarthy might end up losing his job, in which case there's little chance Quinn leaves Dallas.

Fun fact: apparently he’s 0-3 against the Niners in the postseason.
