Default Something I've noticed here Different from the Orange Mane....

As I have now read through a good number of both football and non football related threads.....

A lot of the posters here seem to be socially adjusted well enough to have a wife or girlfriend. That was not something that was common at the mane.

Might explain some of the activity at the WRP thread there. Being a bitter turd is a major symptom of not having a lady besides your own mom, to care about you.

The place overall seems quite a bit more mellow....I can't help but think this is a major reason why.

Could be. Marriage results in the need to drink heavily, which for most, leads to happy, go lucky posters...

Joking aside, interesting observation. I wouldn't have guessed that with so many long time posters at the Mane, who I figured many, if not most, of which were not spring chickens.

I think in general, when we first started BF, we were shooting for something between the very strict Broncos Country/Broncomania (official DB forum) and the nearly anything goes OM. So, the rules and moderation were geared towards that middle ground. I'm guessing the people who that appealed to stayed, and those that didn't migrated to the stricter or looser alternatives.

I think we all are just well-adjusted enough to not take shit too seriously.

I am quite single......every other weekend.

But Mo is the biggest player of us all. And one of the better posters. Maybe we are the anomalies.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

There are a few here that are married and have a wife, family, or gf, and still have a few screws loose (many here would say I am one).

    Bizarre observation, nonetheless.

Marriage means deciding there is something more important than the issue being argued and just letting it go. That seems to be a major problem on some politic boards - the inability to let it go and play on. Marriage teaches you that you can be right and still be wrong.
