It might be more realistic that you'd think.

Lets say Fangio is fired at the end of the year.

The Broncos go looking for an offensive minded guy who is experienced at QB development...the opposite of Fangio.

Brian Daboll of the Bills.

He bring Mitch with him as Mitch will already know the offense having spent this season in Buffalo with Daboll. Mitch is a FA at the end of the year.

Paton and Daboll would be all about drafting your next QBOTF but bring in Teabiscuit until whoever the new guy is, is ready.

Something to think about.

If Trubisky is a starter for Denver then Denver is doing a Cleveland Browns impersonation regarding QB futility.

We agreed on a lot at the OM, but this is a gutterball thread.

I am going to assume that Drew Lock and Bridgewater can’t save Fangio.

Paton got six years for a reason and that was because he was saddled with this year having no power to change the coaching staff.

Who are the hot HC candidates going to be? Dabol almost got hired this cycle. He’s going to get a ton more credit for the continuing meteoric rose of Josh Allen. Denver is going to be balls deep into the QB market next year both in FA and the draft.

Dabol sure seems to be a fit for Denver will be looking to do going forward.

Trubisky would be no serious threat to hold down the job while your new guy is prepped.

Let’s say it isn’t Dabol. Even the , teabiscuit comes with starting experience and might appeal to a new coach as a stopgap until a new drafted QB takes over.

The chances are better than “zero”.
