Glad I found this place....the OM'ers that are here surely would have missed my relentless, and well thought out, novellas that I post....and now being here...a whole new audience can benefit from my exceptional ability to read the tea leaves.

There’s some threads around including this one that explains some of it. Bottom line is Buff couldn’t handle Ghaffney anymore. Buff mentioned the plans to go after him and threatened to pull TJ into litigation. Buff wanted to force disclaimers under all of ghaffneys posts because Buff thinks we are all too stupid to form our own opinions on it. Can you imagine the door that opens with that? 90% of all OM posts were opinions a lot of which were false conspiracy from both sides. Every post would be eligible under Buffs “demands”. If Taco didn’t bow to Buff then the threat was on the table. That makes it multiple times Buff has screwed things up. Rev situation I guess had threats of suing from him too.


Was only a matter of time before the whole thing sat on a grenade.

I cannot imagine that someone with the type of psychology that feels the need to exert such control over others that if they are able to accept any semblance of free expression, it has to be with disclaimers of their choosing is being anything other than maladapted, abusive, and horribly, horribly arrogant.

I haven't had my mother put her hand over my eyes while I was viewing TV or a movie since I was a child. Little did I know a bunch of adults would try to do just that decades later.

We are allowing the most absolutely unhealthy people to control public discourse and speech.

I truly feel for Taco and don't blame him. He allowed quite a raucous discussion section and the straw finally broke the camel's back. People that can't handle freer, lightly moderated expression should just stay out.

When I was quite young, kids around the neighborhood would always threaten to sue each other when they got into disagreements. People like BB are why.

I think our Buff is going to have to put a custom user title of "not THAT Buff" under his name.
