Who has seen the queens gambit (If that is the name)?

Wave, how often do you play?

What do you traditionally like to do with your first move?
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Queen's Gambit is great and your need to watch it yesterday.

I play pretty much every day. I have a friend I play regular correspondence games with (2 days per move) and I usually play a couple of 10 minute games a day.

I usually play pretty standard moves in the opening. If I'm white I usually play e4 which is the most common opening. I'll sometimes play d4 and if I'm feeling spicy I'll start with b3. With black I usually mirror e4 with e5. If they go d4 I go nf6 (king's Indian defense).

yes and no. I'd say it's more like 'signature lines' where the player shows the depth of their calculation. Here is the perfect example. It's hard to fully appreciate how much Kasparov 'Bron'ed his peers without going pawns deep.

I'd say Morphy has the rep of being the best yolo attacker with great instincts. But that was a while ago and modern players would likely find what today's computer engines see as holes or mistakes in Morphy's ideas.

Magnus is world champ and has been for a long time. He's devastatingly aggressive but even more so he will grind his opponents to fine powder.

The days of earth-shattering brilliancies are not behind us, but we are definitely moving more and more toward an AI/machine-learned game in which a positional nuance has replaced the bold piece sacrifice of old.
