A sale needs to happen, Ellis has had his sticky fingers in the BS for far to long. However Jaded is right the owner is the key and there is no guarantee its a good one. The new owner will be the one that pays the most, no guarantee it will be the best choice. I did hear the other day though 2 of the best options being floated this early are Bezos and a Ownership group Led by Peyton.
Also heard a conspiracy theory where the team gets put up for sale and the winning bid is the group led by Peyton but that group includes Ellis, Elway and Brittany...... doubt that happens but that would be hilarious..

1. With what money
If Peyton or John is leading a buyers group, great. I fear who the new owner would be. They could just be content with ticket and merch sales and not actually trying to Win, ala NYJ. It is a huge concern. I'm not letting it keep me up at night, but it's a concern. It's ok. I've seen them win and lose in their greatest and lowest.

Gonna be amazing when Bezos buys the team and moves them to Mexico City…

- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

rest - https://www.9news.com/article/sports...3-16d59c91ad5bDENVER — The lawsuit filed by two of Pat Bowlen’s daughters that was expected to determine the future ownership of the Denver Broncos has been dismissed, 9Wants to Know has learned.
The move comes just over two weeks after attorneys for both the team and for Amie Bowlen Klemmer and Beth Bowlen Wallace called a timeout, leading the judge in the case to call off what was expected to be a four-week trial.
The motion to dismiss, which was obtained by 9Wants to Know, was signed Tuesday by Arapahoe County District Judge John E. Scipione. It was filed by Klemmer and Wallace, who had alleged that their father was already suffering the effects of Alzheimer’s disease when he set up a trust to run the team and determine which of his children would ultimately be named the controlling owner. They alleged that because of his illness, Pat Bowlen was subject to "undue influence" in setting up the trust and giving it the power to decide the team's future.
Giovanni Ruscitti, the attorney for Klemmer and Wallace, said in a text message he had no comment. Dan Reilly, an attorney for the trust running the team, could not be reached immediately.
The dismissal suggests a settlement was reached by the two sides, but it’s not clear what they may have agreed to.

rest - https://denver.cbslocal.com/2021/07/...ise-ownership/ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) – Peyton Manning didn’t rule out a future role with the Denver Broncos given the ownership uncertainty surrounding one of the NFL’s iconic franchises.
“I am as interested in what’s going to happen as anybody because I care about it,” Manning said Wednesday in a Zoom call ahead of his induction next month into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
The trust that runs the franchise valued at $3.2 billion could approve one of late owner Pat Bowlen’s children to become the team’s next controlling owner — Brittany Bowlen, 31, is the preferred choice — or sell the team altogether.
Arapahoe County District Judge John E. Scipione signed a motion this week to dismiss a lawsuit filed by two of the late owner’s daughters from his first marriage.

I've come to the conclusion that the franchise is being sold.
The logic of this follows this path:
1. The lawsuit was withdrawn/settled/ended.
2. No other official announcement. If Brittany Bowlen was going to ascend to the title, we would at the very least see some whispers as such. Instead, it's radio silence.
3. Radio silence is because the Trust is negotiating the sale. Negotiating with presumably more than one interested buyer and also with the NFL as a whole who must approve any new ownership group. Any noise at all is not conducive to a deal being struck.
Who will the new ownership be? I have no idea. I'm saddened, because of loyalty to Pat Bowlen and his legacy. But it is what it is. The Broncos will be owned by somebody else within the next year or so.
I'd rather take my chances on an unknown owner at this point that the known chaos of limbo we've had in place.
