rest, long but good - https://www.denverbroncos.com/news/d...through-struggROSWELL, Ga. — Before the Mile High magic in the 2011 playoffs, before the five Pro Bowls and before he became a Super Bowl champion, Demaryius Thomas was just a kid from a small town in Georgia.
But his life changed forever on draft night in 2010, when Thomas was selected by the Broncos with the 22nd-overall pick. That evening was "one of the most exciting nights," Thomas recalled. With his aunt, uncle and cousins with him at New York City's Radio City Music Hall, he beamed as he became the first wide receiver off the board.
The next day, Thomas arrived in the city he would call home for nine years on a chilly, rainy day.

Bill Williamson:
"The Broncos went from one of the more attractive organizations in the NFL to one in total disarray. McDaniels will go down as one of the most reviled figures in Denver sports history".
Sombody's gotta say it so I guess i'll do it:
Greatest WR in Broncos history. Between Orton, Tebow, and late stage Manning he had to catch a lot of ducks.
He was so ******* good. People will forever remember Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne for their connection with Manning. They should also remember Demaryius Thomas. The injury decline was quick and unfortunate. Thomas is, easily, the most talented wide receiver, and arguably the best wide receiver in Broncos history.
Bey Bey was my adopted Bronco for years. He was my favorite Bronco for almost a decade. His jersey is the last one I bought. He was is an all-time great Bronco. Enjoy retirement!

rest - https://www.denverbroncos.com/news/h...eginnings-to-rENGLEWOOD, Colo. — When Tim Patrick first landed with the Broncos back in the middle of the 2017 season, he was under no assumption that any of the team's veterans would take him, an undrafted rookie on the practice squad, under their wing.
His experience previously had told him to expect that much. So when Demaryius Thomas, a living legend in his eyes, did exactly that, Patrick was awestruck.
"When I first got into the league, there's what you call 'superstar players' that are kind of standoffish — not, I want to say, totally so, but they wasn't as open as D.T. was with me," Patrick said Tuesday. "D.T. kept it real with me since Day 1, when I met him."
The most important piece of advice may have also been the simplest: "just to be myself." But as obvious as that may sound, it may not have been so clear at that time to Patrick, who was already on his third team since entering the NFL just six months earlier.
