Default Kelly Kleine named Broncos' Executive Director of Football Operations/Special Advisor to the General Manager

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — General Manager George Paton has made a key addition to the Broncos' front office.

The Broncos have hired Kelly Kleine as their Executive Director of Football Operations/Special Advisor to the General Manager, Paton announced Monday.

"Kelly is a rising star in the NFL, and we're fortunate to add someone of her caliber to the Denver Broncos," Paton said. "Having worked with her for nine years in Minnesota, Kelly has a strong understanding of all aspects of football operations and player evaluation along with outstanding leadership qualities. She will be a tremendous resource with her experience on the pro and college sides as well as her knowledge of our grading scale and football calendar."

In Denver, Kleine will be the primary liason for the team's football operations while also holding significant responsibilities in both pro and college scouting. Kleine should be a key piece of the team's front office, as she will be involved with player evaluation, day-to-day football administration and preparation for the NFL Draft and free agency.

If Paton continues to bring in Minnesota Vikings people, hope he does not want to change name from Denver Broncos to Minnesota Broncos

It's pretty common for new coaches/GMs to bring in people they are familiar with/have worked with. Given that he spent so many years in Minnesota, it makes sense that anyone he's familiar with would have Vikings connections. I don't care if he hires all Vikings people as long as they are good at their jobs.

The Broncos are already on their way to being the spitting image of the Vikings; scrub game-manager QB’s, tons of assets thrown at CB and G, revolving door at T.

I'd take Cousins every day and twice on Sunday over Lock...

That’s because you’re a Broncos fan and you make poor decisions.

Cousins is a pretty good QB. I mean he survived the bullshittery that was Shanatan in Washington.

He’s the Cadillac of scrubs, making Elite money ... meaning the Vikings face long odds of winning a SB with a QB that needs a loaded roster to get by the Elite QB’s that don’t know Cousins exists.

Granted, This is true for any QB but it’s exasperated by the fact that he’s obscenely overpaid.

    But hey, he’s got “It”.

Btw, if he can’t get it done with their current offensive roster it’s time to move on.

Also, Shanatan won several SB’s ... all w/o Cousins, so it’s “Shanatan survived the bullshitery of Kirk Cosuins” until the scoreboard changes.

Shanahan was a hack at that point. I don't know if you ever saw the interview where Shanahan lied about RG3's injury and his (shans) knowledge of it, but it was also in an interview where he admitted he wanted to force RG3 to be less of a pocket passer.

    He sucked then.

Shanahan is toxic and untouchable anywhere except with his son. Cousins is still a pro-bowl caliber QB.

SB's won when Cousins was in middle school are irrelevant to this conversation, imo.

Cousins has had a really good career. He's better than any QB Denver had since Manning.

Actually Cosuins cost Shanatan his job, thanks for reminding me.

I was wrong, he didn’t survive Cosuins bullshittery.

Cousins was better at QBing then Shan was at tanning, let alone coaching.

He makes more in 8 games than PFM made during the entire record setting ‘13 season.

You’re missing the point, or trying to dilute it ... he’s “good” ... neat, but there’s no conversation involving these two names. You owe PFM an apology.
