    Default Bridgewater For A 6th!

This seems like a bargain, no?

Great bargain. Only paying 3 mil of his salary. Great move at that price.

It doesn't take them out of the QB market.

It also keeps them from being tempted to overpay for the opportunity.

This is a tremendous, A+ move I think. I mean, just a 6th, and get them to take on that much salary? Great move.

Absolutely. Basically taking a free flier on a guy who can push Lock and potentially give us some decent play if needed. Although I am a little sad I won't get to see a Jaded meltdown over Minshew now.

I'm not doubting Adam's sources, but I really doubt a QB is in the cards during the 1st round.

I'm VERY happy about this. Always liked Bridgewater for some reason, but I'm still pulling for Lock to win the QB1 position.

Bridgewater is the game manger. He's not great but we could use him in a pinch with a tough "D".
I hope we don't go QB in the first or second giving Lock the chance to prove himself with Teddy as backup.

Considering how much this has been talked about for the last 2 weeks...it's about time it got done.

AS far as QB still being an option at 9, I think it's lip service to drive up the value of the pick in the event a good QB is still there and another team wants to trade up for it. Although...wouldn't it be crazy to see Denver draft a QB and turn around and trade Lock.

Yeah Lock is gone now if we draft a QB.

This is probably the correct take. I think they could definitely take a guy if he falls to 9, but this move eliminates the urge to get desperate and trade up for a guy. Just see what falls to you at 9 and go from there.

He wasnt worth anymore than that but a good backup if Lock falls on his face this season.

Ever since the Watson legal trouble, it seemed inevitable that we'd end up with one of Teddy B, Minshew or Jimmy G.

I like the price. I like the familiarity with Shurmur's system and Paton's confidence in acquiring him after their time in Minnesota together.

Best case scenario in my mind is that we go draft a QB at 9 and then trade Lock for a 3rd rounder.

Also, to the extent there is any chess-like logic to announcing this before the draft -- it might slightly dissuade another team from jumping over us at #9 and taking a QB if they think it's now less likely we draft one.
