Yeah, that could be very possible, no clue where he'll wind up though.

Sorry if someone already brought this up, I'm, too lazy to go back and look. Can someone tell me why Rodgers just doesn't retire and then unretire and sign with whoever he wants and start in week 13 of next season? Seems like a better (and cheaper) option than holding out all season

When you retire your team holds your rights.

You're right, I completely read that wrong. Initially, I thought week 13 would be the earliest he could sign with another team

Yeah, ultimately contracts would be meaningless if any player could just retire, come back, and sign anywhere. That just wouldn't be tenable.

You can’t do that, if you retire and come back your still under contract with the same team, also if he retires he owes the packers like 40 million back immediately.

AKA known as the Detroit Lions rule.

Barry Sanders, Megatron, wanted out. The lions would not let them out and would not trade them so they retired even though they still really really wanted to play.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

How’s it going, pal? Life got a little busy for me. Not too happy seeing Phillip gone (kid had so much heart), but I guess football is business.
