Hey buddy. Long time no see.

    Whats up?
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

I'm willing to give him a full season. If Bridgewater has to come in at any point...Lock is done. I just want to see what happens when he's given a legit chance

I would’ve said the same thing pre Bridgewater trade. The problem now is I think Bridgewater is too good and Lock not quite good enough to induce a quarterback competition and an excuse for Fangio to have a quick hook. And that sets us back again.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

    That's a ridiculous statement.

It’s not. It’s the problem he has. He struggles with the second read.

Agree. I don't know how to count high enough to be able to tell you how many times Lock stared down his first read and subsequently threw the ball there for an incomplete pass, batted ball, or a pick. Just can't count that high.

I'm merely hoping for growth continued on what I saw late last season. We'll see what happens

There's several videos out there showing he progresses through his reads. Especially near the end of the season, but whatever.

Fields is one of three QB’s in this draft that’s a better prospect than Lock, my most realistic hope now is that Lock is allowed to develop ... because Bridgewater is no one’s idea of a SB caliber QB.

    Draft
    1st round— Cooper Dejean CB
    2nd round— Jack Sawyer OLB
    3rd round— Will Shipley RB
    4th round— Ricky Pearsall WR
    5th round— Ladd McKonkey WR
    6th round— Cash Jones RB
    7th round— Carson Steele RB

Lock specifically said that it was not until the last couple games or so that he was able to have the new offense more or less down. He was then able to concentrate on reading defenses and going through reads.

He also said he will have the offense down this year and will then be able to focus only on reading defenses. So while he may have struggled with it, I do not think it is beyond him like other QBs. He knew it. He said it. He also will finally have the same offense so he can progress his skills. First time ever, right? lololol.

Lets see how often he stares down WR and what not, now that he knows the offense and can read defenses. If he still sucks, then he just sucks, buuuuuuuut- what if he does progress? (Boner time!)

I’m not saying he’s never done it. That’s what he struggles to do consistently (is that better?), so that’s what he has to do. My fear is they now have a reason to have a quick hook, which is the part of this I don’t like.

if they bungle lock's development, George should have a quick hook for Vic at the end of the season. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
