Truth is, we were damn lucky to get Chris Harris. It was like getting a free Pro-Bowler. You need a few players like that to have a great roster in this era of salary caps.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
True that. And the thing with Jamar is that he's a heady player. Caden and Jamar have different paths to greatness. Caden can be a bit frustrating because his mistakes are mostly mental. Being over-aggressive, outrunning the play or putting on the hit instead of making the tackle, but he is a freak athletically. If you can rein him in a little, get him a bit more fundamental and keep him healthy he'll be a monster. Jamar is different - he's a really heady player. His errors come on fakeouts, misdirection - because he's trying to get the right jump to help out his more-average athleticism. But he does everything: run defense, pass coverage, blitzes, whatever. IMO whatever tackling "issues" he's had are overblown. Couple came from just trying to get a strip or make a better play for his team.
In a way, Caden is a Talib type and Jamar is more Chris Harris. If they both work at safety, that's amazing, but Denver really wants a 2-to-make-1 scenario.
And in the mean time w Surtain and Ojemudia, they're bringing back a youth-movement version of the No Fly while the vets they already have are pretty great.
We'll see how this goes, but those are big swings on safeties that could have been drafted a couple rounds earlier. Whoever said Paton was grabbing all the value he could between those guys, Browning, Quinn Meinerz... absolutely right. There's a version of this draft where Denver takes Browning at 40 and Jamar in the third and we're all pretty fine with it. Getting the extra dudes (who were themselves good value at their picks instead of, y'know, reaching for the the Brendan Langleys of the world) is pretty impressive.

My novels Mason's Order and its sequel Mason's Pledge are now available at Amazon in both paperback and kindle versions.
I liked Langley, just not in the 3rd round.
My guess was that Sterns is the future starter, just going by filthy talent ... Johnson puts a monkey wrench in that theory, now I think they get equal snaps in the future.
Johnson should’ve been gone by now, he makes more plays than Sterns.

I think it says a lot that Cheatriots took McGrone over Moses.

Id like Newman here.
The Plan at the moment:
Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).
Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

THIS ONES FOR JOHNWOULD YOU RATHER WIN UGLY, OR LOSE PRETTY?
Roche in the sixth?
That's one of the best picks in the draft. He was going in the fourth consistently on mocks.
Upside WR?
Has good measurables. This is the point where you take them. 6'3, 211- 4.4 forty. Reminds me of Cleveland from last year. I like the upside plays here. Worst case is ST.
I also presume that we trade whats his face we took in the 4th in the sutton draft.
