He’s a slot CB with the speed to hang with Tyreek and MeCole. I love him but I took him off my wishlist because he’s a poor tackler (a deal-breaker for Fangio).

This draft is an A for me. Even tbe value we're getting in the 7th is impressive

Definitely a need, surprised and disappointed that it took this long.

Btw, both of the Broncos 7th round pass rushers taken last two drafts go much higher if they have arms longer than 32”. This is still a huge hole in this roster.

If the Broncos lose Von or Chubb you can forget about that Top 2 or 3 defense, there is no Atouachu this year, it’s shocking that they’ve painted themselves into that corner.

Denver wont be able to fix everything this year. Im with Coach though, this draft is one of the best they have had in years.

    Barron?
He sounds like a simpleton. Maybe we just let him roll on the outside after the QB. He can be the new Shaq
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Cooper was in Jeremiah's top 150 and the talking heads seem surprised that he wasn't a mid round pick.

Cooper was one of those guys counting on this year to boost him. I think he had a high ankle issue that dogged him a couple years ago, and he was finally healthy - then covid season happened. Looked good at the Senior Bowl (I remember Cecil Lammey lovin him down there, for whatever that's worth) and he tested well.

The concerns with Cooper were always a) why is this athletic guy not looking as athletic with pads on during actual games and b) will those short arms Jaded mentioned affect him too much as a pass rusher.

Cooper and Shaq Barrett tested out almost identically FWIW including arm length, except Cooper was much stronger. If getting those numbers to functional game speed and power is now possible for him - and he did look better this year - then he could be really good.

I consider this an upside pick that could have gone earlier for sure.

last pick. . . how about a TE like kenny yeboah or nick eubanks?
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Low-round picks are always imperfect. Something allowed them to slide so far. If they have potential to be starters, we can work on the rest.
