- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
Seems like Cox or JOK will be there. I hope that's the pick, it makes sense in my little world--getting Fangio his athletic stud high-IQ relentless pitbull. But what do I know??

Fangio in the press conference just now, “Surtain can be a good player as the 5th or 6th DB”. Ringing endorsement
Fangio is old school man he’ll never give a young guy too much.... no matter where they are drafted. He’s been talking like this with all our first round picks from Chubb to Jerry and now Surtain. The fact that they drafted you 9 overall speaks what they think of you, doesn’t require them to go into the media and slurp you. Fangio loves Surtain and knows he’ll be CB1 but he’s going to make him go get it as he should!
yep. . . denver can do great at 40, or trade back, add value, and still get a nice piece. . .
unless we aren't counting safties as DBs, where did you think he was going to slot in this year? a top ten pick isn't just about one season-- what y'all gonna complain about when he's our top corner for the next five or ten years?
FTR, willie mcginest on NFLN was just calling him the best defensive fit of the round. . .
