They will select an OT tomorrow night. If they trade out of the top 10, they had better receive significant draft compensation. My guess now is that Lock or Bridgewater get this year, they will continue to stack the defense and become players in the Aaron Rogers, Deshaun Watson sweepstakes in 2022.

No. He was one of the least accurate starters in football last year adjusted for drops and all that. Every QB has all the things you described happen to them. He simply has to get better this season, no more excuses.

The INTs that stand out to me are sailing it over the middle v Las Vegas and that terrible out for a pic6 v new England. That's just terrible football.

Doesn't look like Bridgewater was tearing things up last year

Bridgewater had only one touchdown pass in the fourth quarter all season and was 0-8 in games in which the Panthers had a chance to win or tie on their last possession.

I'd be fine with trading back, getting extra comp and still going tackle with Darrisaw. But it will baffle me if they don't address the one blemish on this roster...ILB. Just makes sense to bolster the defense enough to let Lock/Bridgewter "manage" the team for the time being.

He wasn't. But a 6th round pick and 3 million dollars don't buy you something that tears things up.

Bridgewater is getting backup money. Lock is your de facto starter unless we draft a QB in the first. No sense in starting this debate on Lock vs. Bridgewater... Lock is the guy until he shits the bed.

Obviously you need a partner, but trading back while adding a 2nd and 3rd would be my preference. Get that RT, CB and a LB who can cover...and still have 2 more top 80 picks.

Exactly. If Teddy is actually our starter this year that's a disaster.

The talking heads seem to think this makes us more likely to take a QB. Ironically, Bridgewater would be an actual bridge for a Lance or Fields.

That's quite a haul. We'd have to move back significantly for that. Remember the trade with the Steelers where we moved from 10 to 20? We got pick 20, their 2nd round pick and a 3rd the next year. I just don't see getting all of them in this draft from any team unless they have a ton to burn and they are desperate for someone at 9.

Pick up Justin Fields tomorrow and finally, ******* finally, we'll have reason for excitement at the QB position.

Teddy is a solid game manager and mentor option for somebody like Fields.

If we draft Fields and can get a mid round pick for Lock I'd be quite pleased.
