It might be that my bass is too loud as I listen through my computer sound setup. I'm interested in listening some more. His playing is unreal.
    Lol.

No the name of the album you referenced on Spotify and preferably the artist.

The album was Still Listening by Jahari Stampley. It might have been recorded better was my thought. How did you hear about him?

I was surfing the internet a couple nights ago when he came up as winning the Herbie Hancock award. I had to listen.

    "A Sack O' Woe"

When I was first learning to play Jazz, I purchased a Mel Bay "How to play The Ten Greatest Jazz Solos" and one of them was this version of Cannonball's alto sax solo.

Here is another way to build a solo.

His brother is way underrated as a cornetist also.

    Been listening to this group

Mahavishnu Orchestra. Inner Mounting Flame is the debut album.

John McLaughlin wrote all the material. He played with Miles up until this group formed.

Been listening to Miles again. His Second Great Quintet.

These are The Complete Columbia Studio Recordings The Miles Davis Quintet 1965-1968 with
Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Tony Williams

Dog, you once asked me about Nefertiti. Interesting album. Last fully acoustic album Miles would make. The tile track is unique too. The album is in here.

Been listening to this...especially side 1 Right Off. Depending on whom you listen too, this album which followed Bitches Brew blew the lid off Fusion and opened a whole new genre.

The album was conceived by Davis for Bill Cayton's documentary of the same name, on the life of boxer Jack Johnson.

Bought a mouthpiece about three weeks ago. It's a trumpet mouthpiece made by the Martin Brasswind Company. It's a Martin Gustat #2. The same mouthpiece that Miles Davis played on for most of his career. I haven't played in 40 years.

Last time I played was in the Eastern Montana College (now Montana State University Billings) Jazz Band. I had a Bach trumpet, which I sold because I wasn't playing it. I've been seeing if I can play again by just blowing the mouthpiece. It would appear I can.

At the end of the month I plan on renting a student horn and trying to actually play. From there who knows. What I really would like to do, if my en devour proves fruitful is to get a better horn and play in a community band or ultimately play in the Sheridan College Jazz Band or something similar. If this works I have picked out a horn. It's a Martin Committee. The same horn a number of jazz greats have played including Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis.

The horn can be found at https://www.martinbrasswind.com/

Dude, that's awesome. Good for you. I wish I had musical ability!
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

    I didn't know Can was a trumpeteer!

I played trumpet in high school band for several years before I switched to the french horn and marching french horn (mellophone). I have played around with the idea of asking the band director if he has any extra french horns laying around to see if I can still do anything with it.

Once you find some people to play with, you'll have to upload some of your stuff.

I'm so fired up about this.

I wanna go to Sheridan to catch it. I'm not joking.

That would be awesome. Should we officially start the fan club?
