We got so many shots all at the same time that they didn't even use needles, they used a pneumatic gun to shoot them through your skin. People were having reactions simply because they received so many at once!

By the way, some of the vaccines given to the military aren't "authorized" for normal use, they're on a special list allowed under DOD directive 6205.3, immunization program for Biowar defense.

The President could VERY EASILY amend that list to include the Covid vaccines.

They do if the NFL hasn't made it mandatory yet. I believe in the vaccine, and if your the NFL and you want to mandate it, I get it and it makes sense, but until that happens no player should be forced to get it. Its authorized for emergency use. Its not actually FDA approved yet.

meh there is good reason for uncertainty in people with regards to the vaccine. However as Davii said that's for P&R. I just got my first one from Moderna. It was nothing compared to other shots I have gotten like typhoid, anthrax and small pox while serving the US Air Force.....Sounds like players just needed some clarification from the NFL much like last year when it came to TC......

From what I've been reading, full FDA approval could come within the next couple of months as well.

This. My immunizations record from the military is really, really long. I also received anti-malarials more than once because of the stuff we were doing in Africa and when I was supposed to go to South America.

I had the full series. Talk about a sore arm... Covid vaccines are nothing compared to that.
The worst one for me was the penicillin shot in the ass in basic because of the knot that it created. I remember rolling around on my ass cheek on the floor trying to work that knot out. Small pox was also not enjoyable. I got that one about two weeks before I deployed in '05 and felt like absolute dog shit for a good bit. I don't remember anything specific from any of the anthrax shots though...any of the 183471 that we had to get...

All I remember was the sore arm. It didn't wait like other vaccines do, by the time I put my uniform blouse back on it was screaming. Of course it was also summer time so we had the sleeves rolled up nice and tight as well.

His point being there won't be an excuse because the shot was available. If they choose not to take it than they accept the risks associated with that decision just like anyone getting the shot it accepting the risks associated.

The NFL will make sure they CAN get the shot, if they choose not to.... get your ass to work.

That’s what I remember. The anthrax vaccine burned like fire. It was a burning sensation right away and the soreness afterward lasted longer than any other shot I’ve ever had.

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
