Default JJ Watt Signs 2-Year, $31M Contract With Cards

Not sure I understand his thought process there, but there it is.

Cash. That's really the only reason to go there. I don't think anyone else was offering 16 mil a year.

I don't see JJ as a chase the money kind of guy. It had been made public knowledge that he wanted to go somewhere to win.

I thought so too but there seemed to be way better options for that than AZ.

the NFC west could be a steel cage match this year. . . the cards aren't a front runner, but they have a chance to be sneaky good if murray takes another step. . . especially if they can pair a healthy chandler jones and JJ. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Which is why I said I didn't understand the thought process. But, seeing some of the stuff out there since with his ties to Vance Joseph and D-Hop makes it make more sense. Also, pairing up with Chandler Jones was probably enticing.

Glad that he didn't sign with the Buccaneers.

I'm glad J.J. didn't pull a dick move and sign with the Colts or Titans like other former Texans have.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.
