Don't forget he got married. I'm inclined to think that had something to do with it. The guy is in his 30s now. That's ancient for a minor leaguer. I wonder if the Mets actually paid him to be a baby-sitter/counselor/gate attraction and knew all along that he'd never get to the bigs.
