Thread: Report: Broncos not planning to pick up Von's option, making him unrestricted free agent

Felt like this warranted its own thread.

Other reports say Denver hasn't decided yet, but interesting they are at least considering it.

Not really surprised hopefully Denver and Von can work something out and restructure but we are paying him way too much right now.

Yeah this would be the best case scenario. But if Von holds firm he's probably gone.

Klis throwing a little water on this. To me, it seems like we're either restructuring or moving on. I don't think he's making 18 mil to play in Denver this year.

I think about two things a lot with Von:

1.) John Elway said he wants Von to end his career in Denver.
2.) Chris Long has said that due to Von's style, he should age pretty well as a pass rusher and has a number of good years left in the tank.

I think for a team lacking an identity, we better be sure there's a solid plan before moving on from the greatest defensive player in franchise history.

Unless it involves Watson- he better be here still.

I honestly dont think we have any identity anyway no offense to Von. But if Von is willing to rework his contract than im all for him staying.

I'd love it if he restructured and finished in Den, if not, bye. Thanks for everything.

It might be something with his criminal investigation. It looks like a serious one. On the bright side, I would like to keep Von Miller until he retires.

Im not even sure that is it, he just has a massive salary.

Keep Von Miller, otherwise you add another position to the list of 1st round needs. That’s piss poor roster management.

Damn he’s going to end up in Kansas City and destroy the broncos for the next 3-4 years if we do this to him.
