Very good on these guys to support fant through this terrible time. I lost my mother a year ago and it’s the worst feeling ever. Prayers going out to fant and family. Also respect Paton and Fangio for going to the service. You don’t usually see that.

Multiple sources say Broncos and another team had been working on a trade involving DaeSean Hamilton the past 24 hours when the receiver suffered the injury this morning. You can't make this up. #9sports

Broncos are at the epicenter of players staying away from team facility to workout on their own, apparently without injury protections. #9sports

First Ja’Wuan James, now DaeSean Hamilton (who was likely to be traded, I’m told.) Both could lose millions by suffering season-ending injury away from facility.
At what point does union reconsider its stance? #9sports

I can confirm DaeSean suffered significant knee injury away from facility. Just talked to him. Tough break.
Again, has not been working out at team facility. #9sports

Pat Surtain II on ignoring union's wish for rookies to skip minicamp: "I was going to come up here and play regardless. I'm a rookie. I feel like I don't have that bit of advantage yet for me to ... miss minicamp. I have no proven ability to miss minicamp." #9sports
Union really not doing these guys any favors here. I’m sure they calculated the injury cost to their position and consider it, for lack of a better term, collateral damage, but it’s going to be really bad for a handful of players.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Denver, without an owner, is doing themselves well here getting in the league's good graces fighting this for the NFL. Hopefully, the union starts spending on insurance.

once again, the NFL has the weakest player's union in major pro sports. . .

mostly by accident, both figuratively and literally. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

I hope the Broncos (and their fans) know they’re doing more damage to their chances of winning/competing by not paying James ... it’s simple math so don’t naïve.

Well there ya have it boys and girls. The Ja'wuan James era in Denver is over!

The Denver Broncos have decided the fate of Ja’Wuan James.

The 2019 free agent signing’s time with the team is officially over after the team released him. James suffered a torn Achilles tendon while working out away from the team facility.

The Broncos will not have to pay James his salary due to that reason, but according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, James and his representatives are going to fight to try and get some of that money from the team.

Could be one of the worst FA signings in Broncos history. And, yes, I remember Daryl Gardner and others.

Ya know it's almost football time when contracts are being signed and the cheerleaders are picked for the season.
