I agree completely, it's still not ok as it elicits other responses and then arguments when people TRULY in the wrong get in trouble.

I've seen enough of the favoritism accusations to know where it leads.

It's ok if we are your favorites.

    We should be.

Wide receiver/kick returner Diontae Spencer is officially back with the Broncos for the 2021 season.
The Broncos tendered Spencer as an exclusive rights free agent, which left him with the choice of re-signing or sitting out as he was barred from talking to other teams once the tender was applied. Spencer’s agent David Canter announced on Thursday that Spencer has signed that tender.

Pittsburgh: Ben Roethlisberger. Drafted in 1st/same team. Franchise QB. 3rd contract? Super Bowl wins
Tennessee: Tannehill. Free agent. New contract.
Baltimore: Lamar Jackson. Drafted in 1st/same team. Likely 2nd contract. Repeat playoff berths.
Cleveland: Baker Mayfield. Drafted #1/same team. Likely 2nd contract. 1 playoff berth.
Indianapolis: Phillip Rivers. Free agent. Retired.

Green Bay: Rodgers. Drafted 1st/same team. Franchise QB. 3rd contract? Super Bowl/perennial contender.
New Orleans: Brees. Free agent. Retired.
Seattle: Russell Wilson. 2nd contract. Super Bowl/perennial contender.
Washington: Haskins/Alex Smith/Kyle Allen. Trash situation.
Tampa Bay: Tom Brady. Free agent.
LA Rams: Goff. Traded 2 firsts to improve
    Chicago: Trubisky. Allowed to walk.

    Previous year:
    Minnesota: Cousins. Free agent.
Houston Texans: Watson. Draft 1st/same team. 2nd contract.
San Francisco: Garoppolo. Acquired for 2nd.
Eagles: Wentz. 2nd contract. Already gone.

6/14 teams had a rookie they took in the first round that will be continuing on their roster.
KC, Buffalo, Baltimore fit the category of homegrown QB and making the playoffs repeatedly in the AFC. Pittsburgh basically too, but man does that team melt hard down the stretch. Ditto for their (alleged) sex offending counterpart QB in Houston.
Seattle, Green Bay in the NFC fit the category of homegrown QB and making the playoffs repeatedly in the NFC.

Seems wiser to take the BPA at 9 and not sell the farm. The rest of the roster matters just as much.
    Hmm

14 of those QB’s were drafted in the 1st round, two in the 2nd and one in the 3rd.

Seems wiser to go with talent regardless of how it’s acquired.

Him not wanting to trade to 4 (keeping in mind that anything reported this close to the draft should be taken with a massive grain of salt) doesn't necessarily mean he's in love with Lock. Both things could be true that he wants to replace Lock (which I still believe to be the truth) and he doesn't see value in trading up for the options available to replace him in this draft.

Big difference between wanting to upgrade and doing anything you can to move on. No?

Browns released DT Sheldon Richardson. The Pro Bowl Defender is available. Should Broncos sign him?

IMO, I’m not willing to pay the price to move up to #4. Who is to say the 4th best QB on the board is any better than Lock at this point.
    Bill Williamson:

"The Broncos went from one of the more attractive organizations in the NFL to one in total disarray. McDaniels will go down as one of the most reviled figures in Denver sports history".
