Realistically though...what is winning in this league? I see teams with multiple solid weapons having too many men to cover. NE constantly won with a "you can't cover everyone" philosophy. Philly didn't have THE guy.
Neither did the Rams. Tampa has Evans but drafted well and spreads the ball around and they didn't win when he had his monster season. Seattle never had great WRs. They had a bunch of good ones. Resources should be spent elsewhere IMO. Rodgers has enough. Fix the secondary and stay healthy and they are probably the best team in the league.

Great QB's can make even the average WR look good. The question you have to ask yourself is if Rodgers doesnt play does the guy behind him still succeed? For years NE was able to get away with this strategy because of Brady but even in the end it made it more difficult for Brady when the team solely relies on that philosophy. Its the same thing that happened to Elway early in his career always having to carry a team on his back. It wasnt until Shanahan got there that they actually got some top tier talent there and they won some SB's. Rodgers is good but he can only do so much.

Even then though...McCaffrey? Smith? Davis? Sharpe? Denver really didn't invest resources on them. No high picks. No huge deals. Just smart talent evaluation and building a complete team

come on, george, make it rain!!

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Does this mean Rodgers is about to have a sex scandal break?

Of course, but my point wasnt whether or not they spent high draft choices only that they made better decisions when drafting and in FA. It may look like Rodgers has a lot of talent there but i guess im not really seeing it outside of Adams.

If Paton traded for Rodgers he better hope we never meet ... cause it’d be all kinds of inappropriateness!

Schefter reporting he wants out and PFT reporting he has Denver in his top 3. Sounds fairly legit that there could be a chance. Trying not to get my hopes up though.

    Idk man.

I'm waiting for the specious tweet about Rodgers being spotted at an Elway's any minute now.

Until then, it strikes me as a diva move sending a message to the new-ish GM who didn't draft him any help last year in the 1st round, along with a signal that yeah, he can take his talents to south beach.
