It would certainly take eyes off of the Astros and their trash cans.

If McNair actually were orchestrating this and it came out, the Texans wouldn't be able to exist as a franchise until he sold them, because no player would continue to play there.

This is kinda why I don't buy this conspiracy theory whatsoever. This has all the downside in the world, and the upside is.... forcing a guy to stay there who is still going to be disgruntled and bolt the day his contract ends? Don't buy it.

Smh has no effect on players never wanting to play there! Players will play where the cash is at for the most part, and Houston Texas is a great place to live. His contract won’t allow him to bolt for another 5 years! You can absolutely call his bluff because he’s not going to sit for years and when he does come back he’s still on the hook for 5 years lol. Watson would have to just quit football and move on in life but we know that ain’t happening. Stop acting like he truly has leverage because he doesn’t and with the Texans bringing his dirt out his leverage you thought he had is literally gone because no team is going to give up a haul

If they had an owner who who was known to create rape allegations against star players who wanted out, no major FA would ever go there. That's just pure insanity to suggest otherwise. The NFL would force him to sell immediately like what happened with Jerry Richardson and the Panthers or Donald Sterling with the clippers if this came out as true.

He would never be found out for one, for two Watson absolutely was doing unprofessional acts in a professional setting so it’s not like the shit is just made up. The thing is this stuff would have never came out had he not wanted out. Watson has himself to blame for this just like Kraft ass.

I'll disagree on the simple fact that this situation will come to an end faster than we think. Unless there is any evidence of rape or attempted rape...all he is accused of so far is expecting something that he paid for. I know that sounds insensitive, but what about his first 2 years in the league? What about his college days? He only turned into this predator in the past year? Just not buying it and an investigation will find the truth much more quickly than we think.

Either that...or he pays them off. Which, this Buzbee dude already admitted to offering him the chance to do that and Watson refused. That alone sounds like Buzbee is looking to make a little money AND Watson is confident he did nothing wrong.

All that said...he may not have a ton of leverage today...but he will soon. NO team is going to just watch a player sit or quit if there is a chance they can get something out of it. Which is why I don't think McNair or the team have anything to do with this. If anything, they should be helping to clear him so that his trade value is better.

Why would they help clear him when they stated from day one there not trading him? They won’t even take calls lol.

The Texans want Watson to play in Houston or not at all. That’s it that’s all. Until that line of thinking changes there going to keep hanging up the phone on people.

It's cute how naive you are on this issue. Are you still expecting the call from the girl you met at the bar in college who said she'd totally call you back?

For sure. But these claims cannot be brought unless they meet a threshold that the lawyer knows is beyond what would get him or her sanctioned. And because this is a fancy pants lawyer, you know he or she is covering their ass and papering it up well enough.

Watson doesn't have a libel or slander claim if the allegations are essentially true, and it's merely a fact-based inquiry as to degree.

As far as a 'safe' smear campaign goes, it's a good one.

And as far as money changing hands and forensics to show the source...in the age of crypto and payment apps, good luck.

So you're telling me that Houston...or ANY other team would rather watch a player sit or retire than to get back an insane return that could change their franchise for the next decade? ******* delusional. Reliant stadium would be burned down by the fans if they did that.

I’ve never had any issues with any girl calling me back, I’m definitely too handsome and drive a nice car with plenty of good word play in my arsenal.

What’s cute is you hanging on to your make believe crap like Watson has any leverage at this point when he doesn’t! The dude has legal issues and a owner whose hell bent on never trading him.
