Thanks Carol, I really like this article. I like that he is self reflecting and realizing that he can't control what the organization does, but only how he approaches this next season. I also like that he's being honest on his size and wanting to focus on what he does best. He has special something that pumps people up, I hope we get to see that again.

"Everybody knows I can run inside well. But come on now, I am 190 pounds, I can’t sit there and run up the middle 24/7. That’s just not my style. I have all this speed and have great vision and I am person who can accelerate anytime. I need to be put in a position at times where you can get the pulling guards, you can get the screens, the draws. That stuff right there accelerates a running back, especially my type of running back. I am not sitting here saying you have to give me 25 carries. It’s about the type of carries you give a running back," Lindsay said.
He's such a weapon. Just going by the eye test, he's the type of player you MUST account for...it's weird that hasn't always been the case.

I don't know if it's his route running or what (hands? nah), but if he could become a more mature receiver he'd be among the league's most explosive offensive players.

Lindsay is doing a lot talking lately. He needs to expand HIS game and he’ll be used accordingly man. The broncos absolutely tried to get Lindsay in space last year. But it’s just a fact that until he can pass pro in this particular offense he can’t be overly used. There’s no way Lindsay can just be the 1st and 2nd down back and Gordon being the 3rd down guy. That’s a terrible idea because it would mean we’re running the ball tipping our hand.

he’s a solid spell guy, anything else he’s not going to hold up. This past season was just the start imo. The broncos had better bring in some talent at the RB position because we’re going to need it.

The Broncos won't get 60 sacks in 2021 and neither will any other team. In 2015 they had 52 and that was one of the best defenses to ever be on the field with two of the best pass rushers ever in Von and Ware.

Also last season the sacks didn't really come in "waves" like you said. Weeks 1-4 were up and down, but after that it was pretty consistent for the rest of the season.
Your probably right I just didn’t feel the constant pressure, I never got the feeling we were terrorizing quarterbacks but who knows maybe we was. I just need Miller to stick around, I think his leadership and play is still needed here despite the numbers. I just feel like the other guys would be unleashed at a whole different level with Von back out there doing his thing.

Here is what Phillip did at CU. All the OC needs to do is use him the right way.

Largely unrecruited after tearing his ACL as a senior in high school, he proceeded to play in all 51 of CU’s games in his career (including the Alamo Bowl, with 30 starts … Became Colorado’s all-time leader in all-purpose yards with 5,760 and yards from scrimmage 4,683 (5,926 and 4,849 including the 2016 Alamo Bowl, but CU does not include bowl stats in career numbers) … He finished as the Buffs’ second all-time leading rusher with 3,707 yards and was the first player in CU history to record back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons (and just the second to have two period) … With 110 receptions for 976 yards, he also set school records for the most in each by a running back; he became the 14th player to join CU’s 500/500 Club (rushing and receiving yards), narrowly missing becoming the first to hit 1,000 in both (which he did counting the bowl game, but CU does not include those numbers—for any player) ... The only running back in CU history to have two 100-yard receiving games (both during his junior year) … Also finished sixth in career kickoff return yardage (1,077; though he returned just one over his last two seasons

Phillip analyzed his strengths better than anyone else has and that's a good thing. He's spot on.

There wasn't as much pressure. But it's all relative. Denver played from behind a lot. They didn't force turnovers. Those two things do not play in to Denver being able to rush the passer as much. It would be nice to see Von and Chubb healthy together, but at the end of the day the offense needs to be on the field and needs to put up some points. If the offense doesn't score points and the Broncos are playing from behind all year, it won't matter if Von is on the field or not.

Default Mile High Morning: Four Broncos ranked in Pro Football Focus' top 101 players of 2020

    The Lead

As George Paton gets to work to reshape the Broncos' roster in his first year as general manager, he'll have a foundation that has several of the league's best players.

In Pro Football Focus' ranking of the top 101 players from the 2020 season, the Broncos saw four of their players make the list.

Bolles (No. 19 overall) earned the top ranking among Broncos players, and was the third-highest ranked offensive lineman.

"Bolles didn't allow a sack all season, surrendering just 13 total pressures and accumulating 10 fewer penalties than he did this time a year ago," PFF's Sam Monson wrote. "Bolles became a franchise left tackle this season and did so pass blocking for a quarterback who wasn't among the best in the league at making his life any easier."
