Default Source: New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees agrees to reduce salary in sign of retirement

METAIRIE, La. -- In the latest signal that Drew Brees is preparing to retire after 20 seasons, the New Orleans Saints quarterback has agreed to reduce his 2021 salary from $25 million to the veterans minimum of $1.075 million, a source confirmed to ESPN on Friday.

The move will free up nearly $24 million in salary-cap space for a Saints team that was projected to begin the offseason close to $100 million over the cap.

The agreement was first reported by Over The Cap.

    Why is this in NBA?
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

He made a lot of money during his career, and I don't think reducing his salary is a big deal for him, especially before his retirement. It will help maintain the image of a good player for a longer time. Do you know that football players are more significant than it is shared in official sources? Some of the income is hidden, so they can avoid paying some taxes. I also do the same. I use the pay stub maker, so when it is going to pay the taxes, I can cheat a little big and avoid some of them. So I think it is not such a big deal.

Does anyone think maybe CameronMcGrath’s internet connection literally took one year to send his first ever post?
