Broncos need to do what it takes to get Watson, but if he can get Stafford at a reasonable price we'll at least have a fighting chance.

But if you're a QB that wants to win a championship, I'm not sure you want to go to the AFC West. We have that going against us.

If I'm Watson or Stafford I wanna be in the NFC.

2 firsts and Goff? Lololol. They can have him for that. Talk about an overpay.

Also, if Stafford went for that, it's gonna take like 4 first rounders for Watson.

So how many overall picks have the Rams given up for their QB spot? Didn't they give a bunch to get Goff? Now 2 more #1s for Stafford. That's how much the position matters.

That’s what I’ve been trying to say. No way in hell we have what it takes to get Watson without having a jr. high C team left.

They overpaid so the Lions would take Goff and his terrible contract off their hands. That’s why they had to throw in the extra 1st rounder. The Broncos inquired about Stafford and Detroit wanted a 1st, 3rd, and Lock according to Woody Page. That was too much for Paton so we passed. The asking price without a high priced shitty QB was a 1st and 3rd. The Rams had to give up the extra first for the Lions to take that contract.

    Check out this shit:

How Les Snead still has a job, I’ll never know. If the Rams don’t win a Super Bowl in the next 2-3 years (before Stafford and Donald are over the hill, and their old assed LT breaks down for good) they’re done. They’ve set themselves up to suck for a decade after that.

good thing somebody can still do simple math. . .

the rams paid extra for cap relief, not stafford. . . detroit just used some of their cap space to buy some draft capital, like when cleveland bought a pick for os. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

also, FTR, thank gawd. . . #9 by itself was too much for stafford, let alone throwing anything else in. . . assuming we can't get watson, i'd much rather draft a blue chip defender with that pick, and see what lock can do in his second year in shurmur's offense . . . with a healthy sutton, and another year of munchak coaching the OL. . .

I would Have been ok with stafford for the 2 - 2’s that were bandied about by Peter king but (removing the Goff contract 1st given) its was still too rich for this guy. I dont Want to see any capital being given out for anyone except for Watson. It’s Watson (even if unlikely) or you roll with lock and serviceable backup. I don’t expect the back up to some legit starter but just better than the poo we had this year.

I wouldn't close the book on Goff's career just yet. McVay coached Goff in such a way that the guy never got a chance to develop his own football instincts because McVay was always feeding him the answers through the headset until the radio cut off. Without McVay there in his ear, he is going to have to either learn things himself or drown. Detroit should probably still take a QB, but Goff may lead that team to the playoffs.

I would not have been okay sending pick 9 for Stafford.
