    Also, this:

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson and NFL reach settlement on 11-game suspension, $5 million fine

CLEVELAND — After the NFL opted to appeal his initial suspension, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson now knows his football fate. On Thursday, Watson and the NFLPA reached a settlement with the NFL on his punishment, with the three-time Pro Bowl quarterback now set to serve an 11-game suspension, in addition to paying a $5 million fine.

Additionally, Watson will be required to continue to undergo mental health counseling. The Browns and NFL have also agreed to each pay $1 million, which in addition to Watson's fine, will be put toward sexual assault prevention programs.

Much better than just the 6 games for sure. Another wasted year for Cleveland though and a lot of money sitting on the bench.

Very lame by the NFL here. Can't blame the independent arbiter for this one.

Will still stand by being extremely happy we didn't get this creep. I don't see how anyone could enjoy cheering for him.

    Its better.

Seems not enough, but I am not sure anything less than a year and a full years salary would have satisfied me.

Hope these women are ok, money does not heal all wounds...

$5 million is 5X more than the $1 million salary the Browns and Watson arranged for 2022. Some NFL owners were livid at this. The 11-game suspension would have cost Watson about $650K against his 2022 salary. By hitting him with the $5 million fine, they essentially defeated the dodge Watson and the Browns had agreed to.

11 games means he'll miss the Tampa Bay game (shocking how Brady wins out again!) but his first game back will be in Houston against the Oilers (oops!). That game probably gets flexed to Sunday Night. The rest of the AFC North will get one shot each at Watson as will the Saints (who almost traded for him) and the Commies.

Yeah, the NFL just set up for themselves Must See TV by making Browns-Oilers his official return.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

I'm told fur coats and expensive jewelry support the healing process.

Almost 2 full years he will have sat minus the training camps.

Coming in midseason, with minimal reps in that offense.

If there is any justice, he falls flat on his face if he gets field time, which there is no doubt he will, since the scheduling is so perfectly laid out for $$$.

I almost feel bad for wishing failure on someone. Just almost though...
