Did posts get deleted? I don't see anything political. I don't think saying "society goes easy on rapists if they are famous" is a political statement. If someone blamed that fact on a certain politician or political party then sure, but I didn't see that unless it got deleted. In a thread about a guy accused of rape, I think it's fair to discuss how it might or might not be prosecuted. I think we can handle that without getting political (which again, I didn't see unless it was deleted). Give us a little credit here.

Yes. Totally fine with trading for a franchise QB that may or may not have done something that may or may not even be illegal in today’s society.

First time he throws a touchdown pass, 95% of the fan base will forgive him.

The fact that it's been so long since we've heard anything since they Houston PD opened their investigation months ago makes me think they're really building a case against him. If this were all BS, I feel like he'd have been cleared by now. Still would not even entertain the idea of trading for him at this point.

I wouldn't read too much into this. Virtually every major PD across the nation has backlogs on sex allegations, and that's even in cases where there is DNA evidence. It's a sad state of affairs. The fact that they haven't done anything since opening the investigation most likely means there was no immediate smoking gun beyond he-said, she-said. Watson is claiming these were consensual encounters.
