Apparently the Houston P.D. handled the matters well but the NFL, according to these folks, just screwed the pooch. If that's true then that's a damn shame. Trauma informed questioning is something I got received training in during school. Goodness.

This is just part of the process, shit has been moving slow because courts have a years build up of work due to the pandemic closing everything.

I just know Watson needs to get out of Houston man the entire city is probably against him because he said F this place I want out and then he gives them ammunition by doing all this weird shit allegedly.

Can't be worse than how they treated David Carr - people booing him and burning his jersey....at his house in front of his wife and kid.
I miss the old Mile High Stadium.

Carr was a case study for how NOT to develop a young QB, dude was supremely gifted and they burned it to the ground.

I believe the record for most sacked QB in a season was Carr's. In an era where throwing the ball was not nearly as popular as it is now.

The talent was not the problem.

If i recall i think David had something like 70+ sacks that year. It was unheard of and the dude was running for his life every week. His brother has a better team around him than David did and that aint saying much.

David Carr probably got the rawest deal in the history of quarterbacking. Dude never had a chance.

That might literally have been the worst offensive line ever assembled.

Per google: Carr was sacked 76 times in 2002. He had another season where he was sacked the third most in the history of the league.

Watson was tied for the fifth most in 2018. And given his talent, that number could have been much higher.

Is the FBI investigating Watson or a couple of his accusers for possible extortion? I have read statements by both sides claiming it is one way or the other.

Given that the only sources on this are the lawyers on each side, who knows.

Never to be forgotten was the ESPN ad promoting the 2003 NFL draft. It showed David Carr calling signals behind a graphically-deleted offensive line.
