ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — After a career day in which he threw for four touchdowns and zero interceptions, quarterback Drew Lock has been named one of three nominees for Week 14 FedEx Air Player of the Week.

Lock completed 21-of-27 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns for a passer rating of 149.5, which is the third-highest single-game passer rating in franchise history, behind just Peyton Manning and John Elway. It was also the first time since 2016 that a Broncos quarterback has thrown for four or more touchdowns without an interception.

Yes. Hopefully Fangio will use the same kind of plan this week, rather than screwing around with putting him in 3 wides all day and throw downfield into coverage all the time. Which has been the "brilliant" Pat Shurmur plan.

Why anybody wanted to hire that guy I can't understand -- except nepotism. All these head coaches and OCs just fail at one place and immediately get another job somewhere else. It's a narrow club of insiders.

The thing I didn't like on the Schurmer hire was that Scango was working really well with Lock. I think some of Lock's issue has been Schurmer. Don't fire someone who is doing well with a rookie just because your ego can't get along with him. And just because someone has experience like Schurmer doesn't mean it's a shoe in that he'll be a success anywhere. Beckham isn't the first player to have issues with Schurmer.

Lock completed 21-of-27 passes for 280 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in a 32-27 win over the Panthers.

Lock beat out Aaron Rodgers and Mitchell Trubisky for the honor, as he garnered 51 percent of the vote. He is the first Broncos quarterback since Trevor Siemian in 2017 to be named FedEx Air Player of the Week.
