Default Garrett Bolles, Broncos extend contract four years

*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Default Broncos sign T Garett Bolles to 4-year extension

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — One of the Broncos' best offensive players will remain in Denver for 2021 and beyond.

The Broncos signed tackle Garett Bolles to a four-year contract extension through 2024, the team announced Saturday.

Bolles was slated to become an unrestricted free agent after the 2020 season.

The former first-round draft pick has started all 58 games at left tackle since the Broncos selected him with the 20th-overall pick in 2017. After struggling with penalties earlier in his career, Bolles has been borderline dominant while protecting Drew Lock's blind side in 2020.

Great news, something clicked in Bolles, he saw the light, whatever. It's nice to have competent LT play.

4 years 68 million. Seems like a team friendly deal. Other top LT’s are getting 20 mil +per season.

There can't be very many examples of guys not to have their 5th year option picked up then get an extension. Good for him figuring it out.

He'll be the 4th highest paid tackle next year, based on current contracts.

Good for him. I'm glad to eat this crow. Gives us some draft flexibility but we'll still need a stud at RT.

True, and the worst part is the ones they do seem to call, in the games I’ve seen not necessarily the Broncos, are ticky tack at best. They’ve ignored some blatant ones only to call some really bad ones that had no bearing on a play whatsoever.
