I hate Westbrook as much as the next guy but C’mon!

I definitely think Zion bolts as soon as he can. No one in Nola gives a crap about basketball and they are a terribly run team. I just don't see a path to him ever winning there.
I definitely realize there's probably a better chance than not that Ja finishes his career somewhere other than Memphis, but they do at least have a good culture, passionate fanbase, great young talent around him and a promising young coach. They have all the pieces in place to build something.
Ja is built different. He loved being in Kentucky and not playing for the big dogs. I think he stays long term. Sure, towards the end of the middle/just the end of the career he might bolt elsewhere for any sort of reason. But he'll be a long termer.
The Pelicans found a way to alienate and shit on Anthony Davis, who is literally one of the most humble and kind star player you'll ever see. It's telling that he bolted from there and then took a deal in LA that cost him even more money. He clearly wanted a long-term deal and the Pels shit on him. That is all kinds of insane.
Tzion needs to go to a place that can help him manage his body.
I'll go ahead and be that guy - are we really that excited about 47 points in a 12 point loss where they were never really in it?
They alienated CP3 as well. Both their owner and fans care way more about the saints and the pels are just kinda a thing that's there. I don't think they'll ever succeed in that city with that ownership. If they squander Zion who's probably the best prospect since LeBron, they might as well just sell off the team and let them relocate, because they'll just never succeed.
If this were just in a vacuum, no. But coming off two straight games where he dropped 35 and played toe to toe with Steph on the road in an elimination game, then went on the road and stole game 1 dropping 26, it's a pretty damn good trend. Memphis as a team is probably overmatched by Utah, but what Ja has done in the last week when his team has most needed it has been nothing short of incredible.
So you can suck my dick with this contrarian take!
I'd agree that his game to eliminate GSW was more of a coming out party, but what he did last night isn't nothing. I don't think he's going to carry Memphis to an upset in this series or anything, but it's hard not to be excited for the future with the way he's blossomed down the stretch this year.
