Sure it is. Being a fan is very easy. It's easy being a Bengals fan and losing. You watch the game and cheer on the team. There's nothing hard about it.
It is hard, however, when the teams you root for start to represent a place you used to love but can't love anymore because it changed. That's what is hard. At that point you just find a place where you're welcome, and hope you remain welcome. And if not, you just go somewhere else. It's why the bad fan comments don't hurt and hurt a lot at the same time. On one hand, you're just rooting for a team with the homies. On the other hand, after the 10,000 shitty comment it's sort of like "Okay, I get it. I'm not welcome."
Oh and rooting for LBJ isn't easy. You have to deal with 'fans' from other sides who are really, realy, really fact and history adverse.
