    This is depressing.

Insert inevitable “play to win the game” joke.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

    "leader of men". . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

It's interesting that certain orgs seem to figure it out. GB and Pitt come immediately to mind.

Hiring folks that fit your company culture isn't really that hard, so it's amazing to me that more teams can't get it right on a consistent basis.

IDK, I just play to win the game.

Step 1: have a company culture. Denver has lost that without Bowlen.

Yeah. I hate to say it that way, but I think you are right.

Elway has gotten way too comfortable with no legitimate leader to light a fire under his seat.

Nah...I don't think it's because he's gotten fat and lazy.

He's just not great at reading people and understanding how they will fit into the org.

I don't think he's gotten lazy, he's just stuck in his ways and has no one to tell him any differently.

Is that Jack Frost's son? Good bloodlines.
