Marshall: Good trade. Was a total head case and was never able to stick on a team for more than a couple of seasons the rest of his career.

DT: Excellent draft pick, one of if not the best WR in broncos history.

That's not to say he didn't make his fair share of draft whiffs (but honestly has Elway been much better in this regard?) but the players he got crucified for shipping off all never did shit after he got rid of them.
    And the coaches ie Gase.

    Wrong coach. LoL

Bates was his name that Cutler threw a tantrum over.

The majority of the controversial roster moves McD made here wound up being correct.
I agree somewhat, but with all the Draft capital from Chi and after getting rid of Cutler, if Orton and TT was his answer to Denver's QB issue, he should have had his head examined.

You could also argue Elway should have his head examined for thinking Osweiler or Lynch would be the answer to the QB issue. At least Tebow had a prolific college career in the best conference. I'd say he was a more defensible pick than either of those first 2 picks Elway took at QB.

All I know is I was convinced he was a genius after his 6-0 start back in 09

While I think his overall personnel moves weren't as bad as the general consensus on them is, I do think he was given too much power given his age/level of experience. If he had just had to focus on coaching and someone else was handling the roster I think he'd have had far more success here. By being given control over everything he tried to hard to be a BB clone and it just didn't work. I still think he has the goods just from a pure coaching standpoint though.

You could say that about O'Brien but the reason why i threw McDouche's name out there is because both shit the bed and both were eventually fired. Its not about "what ifs" its about what actually happened with both coaches.

That ultimately falls on ownership giving these guys too much power.

They share the blame but no one was twisting their arm taking it.

McD sucked but we have to admit that Tebow is probably the 3rd best starting QB we've had post-Cutler.

He was a character in the Broncos narrative. He created story. As a QB and passer of the ball, he was in costume at best. He was a bayonet in a drone-strike era.

No. Peyton Manning, Trevor Siemian, Brock Osweiler and Drew Lock are definitively better at playing quarterback than Tim Tebow.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Sounds like there was a player mutiny led by JJ Watt.

Default Sources: Houston Texans' J.J. Watt had heated exchange with Bill O'Brien

Bill O'Brien got into a heated exchange with Houston Texans star J.J. Watt during a recent practice, ESPN has confirmed.

The incident, which also included defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver, took place in the week leading up to the winless Texans' Week 3 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to ESPN and multiple reports.

Sources confirmed to ESPN that "a verbal blowup at practice" occurred two weeks ago, with one source telling ESPN's Dianna Russini that the incident was when O'Brien "lost the team."
