DUI charges against Gordon were dismissed due to "evidentiary concerns". If he stays, that is good news!

Good week in the courtroom for the Broncos! Can we get the ownership thing wrapped up too while we're on this roll?

    Hey he is consistent!

He consistently is good at getting things dropped. My man!
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

Default Melvin Gordon’s DUI charges dismissed; Broncos RB pleads guilty to reckless driving

The Denver District Attorney’s office dismissed DUI charges against Melvin Gordon Wednesday morning as part of a plea agreement that saw the Broncos running back plead guilty to reckless driving.

As part of the agreement, the running back is required to perform 12 hours of public service, according to court records, and will pay $479 in fines, fees and court costs, including a $250 DUI fine. In addition to the two DUI charges being dropped, the DA also dismissed charges of driving 25-39 miles per hour over the speed limit.

Eric Nesbitt, Gordon’s attorney, said prosecutors couldn’t prove or establish the DUI charges, describing it as a “prima facie,” a legal term meaning “based on first impression.”

“There were issues that the DA had being able to prove the case for DUI,” Nesbitt said. “They did the right thing in dismissing the charges.”

Both the DA’s office and the Broncos declined to comment on the case Wednesday.

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
