Default Footage of Melvin Gordon’s DUI stop could be of interest to the NFL

A day after Melvin Gordon had DUI charges against him dismissed, the Denver Broncos running back can be seen via bodycam footage telling police he had been drinking the night he was pulled over.

In the video obtained by TMZ, Gordon told officers he had “a little bit” of alcohol before being pulled over. He can also be heard saying he was driving fast because he was running out of gas.

Gordon, who was reportedly driving 71 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone, pled guilty to reckless driving for excessive speeding.

In a tweet Thursday afternoon, 9News Broncos Insider Mike Klis reported an NFL spokesperson said Gordon’s case “remains under review.”

Not sure why it would be an interest to the NFL, he's already been cleared of a DUI.

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Melvin didn't report for on field OTA's.....he just got done telling us he wants to make Denver permanent residence and the Broncos his home....his actions speak louder than his words.

I read about this this morning. Apparently he really likes his workout regimen and routine he has now. So he is doing that until mini camps.
I think its not really any kind of news.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

it doesn't matter. . . he's gone after this year-- they didn't trade up in the second for williams to be a long term backup. . .

After what's happened to James and Hamilton, working out at home at this point is just idiotic. Especially as expendable as RBs are and given that we just spent a high pick on one.

If you want to be a part of the team, you show up with the team.

I'd say the same about all of them, this team isn't good enough or cohesive enough for them to be pulling the bs. You want to get better, you want the team to be better, buy in.

In general I don't really care if a player shows up for voluntary OTAs in May, and I agree it's generally not newsworthy, but if you're in the last year of your contract and they just drafted a guy at your position in the second round, it just seems odd that you're sitting on your couch while the new guy is trying to take your spot. It's not like he's some guy who's established with the team whose spot isn't in jeopardy.
